Copyright for Librarians
Join us for an in-depth investigation of library provisions within the
law. This instructor led workshop incorporates group discussions,
question and answer sessions, and analysis of real world scenarios.
You'll Learn To:
Recognize the underlying purpose of copyright law
Outline the 1976 Copyright Act and subsequent revisions
Evaluate interlibrary loan requirements under CONTU
Analyze recommendations of Section 108 Study Group
Distinguish between interlibrary loan, document delivery, and fee-based
and non-fee based library services
Who Should Attend:
Librarians, faculty and staff members, administrators, bookstore,
copyshop and reprographics personnel, IT managers, course developers,
students, and anyone who wants to gain an understanding of copyright law
as applicable to libraries.
