Dear ARLIS/NA,
I am wondering if any of you currently have large format drum scanners
in your libraries, either for staff or public use? We are considering
the purchase of a scanner, for ourselves and our patrons, but would like
to know what other libraries are doing about the service implications.
If you do have this kind of equipment in your library, I have some
questions:
What kind of equipment do you have?
Do you allow patrons to use the equipment?
If so, is this a mediated transaction?
Do you charge a fee?
What formats do you, or your patrons scan?
Do you have a service model for this equipment?
Please reply directly to me with your answers.
Thank you for your help in advance.
Ann
