Dear Colleagues,
I am interested in writing a conference proposal for Denver that would
be a session focusing on the history of art libraries in Western Canada,
the US or in Mexico. We have had two similar sessions in past years and
such a session in Denver could mark the end of our 35th anniversary year
and the beginning of our 36th year as an organization.
The two previous sessions were: San Antonio - Art Libraries in NYC and
the Frick Fine Arts Library at U of Pgh and 1999 on art libraries in
Canada. If I create such a proposal I would like to approach the
subject of our history from different perspectives, including a speaker
on the history of an academic library, a public art library, a museum
library and/or an art/architecture design school library in the West or
in Mexico.
Please contact me directly as soon as you can if you are working on such
a project and/or are interested in speaking in such a session should the
proposal be accepted by the Denver conference programming committee.
Thanks very much, Ray Anne Lockard
Thanks! Ray Anne
