9:30am Coffee and registration
10:00am Separate business meetings for ARLIS/NE and VRA/NE
11:00am Presentation about the new library : Nader Tehrani, Architect and Carol Terry, Director of Library Services
Noon Lunch on your own (lots of nearby places – we will provide a list)
1:30pm Tours of the newly renovated Fleet Library
2:30pm Affinity tours: Tour and discussion with a RISD staff member in
one of the following six areas:
- Reference and instruction: Claudia Covert and Ellen Petraits
- Technical services and conservation: Bob Garzillo
- Archives: Andy Martinez
- Artists'books/special collections: Laurie Whitehill Chong
- Planning/construction of the new library: Carol Terry
- Visual Resources: Melody Ennis and Janet Grewer
3:30pm Reception in the Picture Collection (cookies for the road)

Pay on site: Fee includes meeting, tours, morning and afternoon coffee and

For those staying over Friday night:
There will be the Providence Open Market every Saturday, starting May 12,
in one of the vacant lots downtown, just a few blocks from the library.
There will be at least 60 vendors, artists and artisans, food and music,
from 11 am - 5 pm. www.providenceopenmarket.com.
