The Assessment Task Force is grateful that the Collection Development
Discussion Group will be talking about the restructuring recommendations.
I should note that the Interest Groups are intended to be informal. They
are modeled on discussion groups like this one. So, in essence, your group
is already "established." The difference, should restructuring be
approved, would be that your group could apply for special funding for
projects. These Interest Groups would also be encouraged to share what
they are doing and discussing on the ARLIS News and Features website. I
hope that clarifies the intent.
