Colleagues (particularly those in Canada),
I'm having no success located the answer to this question about a
"sculpture" that was at Expo 67 in Montreal. My patron is trying to
identify a work she saw and here's her description:
"While attending Expo '67 in Montreal I observed the operation of a
sculpture rising from the water off the children's beach area opposite
the Ontario Pavilion. This moving sculpture portrayed a two headed
'dragon' blowing flames from its nostrils. The heads rose and fell as
the body of the sculpture came above the surface of the water.
Subsequently, it would 'disappear' beneath the surface before resuming
the sequence. It appears to have been made from Corten steel and
hydraulically operated."
I did a Web search and checked the Official Guidebook. If you have
suggestions, please reply to me off-list.
Thanks.
Joan
