Dear George,
The School of Information and Library Science at the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill offers a dual-degree in Library Science and Art
History. The school offers access to Master's Papers online at:
http://ils.unc.edu/mpi/. A simple search using the terms "art
library" or "museum library" should bring you some relevant
hits.
I imagine other schools of Information and Library Science offer a similar
service.
All the best,
Kirston Johnson
