Dear ARLIS/NA Members:
We are conducting a research project on Visual Resource professionals and
their assessment of the necessary current and future core competencies,
training opportunities and educational alternatives. The purpose of this
research is to inform the future education and training of Visual
Resources Professionals. This survey is part of the research project,
Visual Resources Management: Determining Professional Competencies and
Guidelines for Graduate Education, supported through a grant from IMLS.
The ultimate goal is to inform the development of guidelines and core
competencies for the education and training of future VR professionals. We
hope that the membership of ARLIS/NA, and VRA will participate because the
project will ultimately impact the members of these organizations.
