Introduction to Greenstone Open Source Software

Greenstone digital library software (www.greenstone.org ) is a
comprehensive, multilingual open-source system for constructing,
presenting, and maintaining digital collections. Greenstone is produced
by the New Zealand Digital Library Project at the University of Waikato,
and developed and distributed in cooperation with UNESCO and the Human
Info NGO. Greenstone developer, Ian H. Witten will introduce Greenstone
and demonstrate installation and collection building to the METRO
Digitization SIG.
Space is limited to 50, so please RSVP your intentions to Claudia Perry

event.
METRO also will be offering a detailed Greenstone workshop on October
25, 2005 from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Please check the METRO website
(www.metro.org) for details.
