Following the chapter officers' breakout session held as part of the Leadership Breakfast at the Houston conference on Saturday 2 April, we are putting together a proposal for a discussion session at next year's annual conference in Banff (5-9 May 2006), on chapter links to local library schools, how to establish and nurture them by means of attendance at careers events, arranging practicums and internships, mentoring, recruitment strategies, setting up speakers' bureaux, etc. We already have several panel members lined up, but would like to add some more names. If your chapter has experience of these activities, please contact us by 10 a.m. EST on Thursday 12 May. N.B. you won't have to write a paper - just participate in the moderated discussion!
Thank you.
