Dear fellow Listservers,
I'm looking for some help from the architecture librarians out there--
more specifically, from librarians who are working in-house for
architectural (or engineering) studios (either currently or in the
past).
I am trying to develop a job description for a librarian in a large
architecture/graphic design firm, and am wondering if any of you out
there have job descriptions that might help me with this.
So far, responsibilities that I have would include the following, but
I'm sure I'm missing out on something!
• Manage product/sample library
• Collection development and management for books/websites/other
resources useful to designers
• Researching new building materials/innovations in the industry
• Giving presentations (or otherwise educating designers) about new
materials/resources on a regular basis
• Develop/manage image library
Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated! Please respond
off-list.
Many thanks,
Jamie Hazlitt
