Public Services Librarian
(Co-Coordinator of Public Services)
One-Year Appointment
The Morton R. Godine Library seeks a one-year
temporary Public Services Librarian to join a team
environment. The Public Services Librarian serves as
co-coordinator for planning, implementation, and
problem-solving of all public service functions. Key
area of responsibility is access services including
circulation, reserves, and stacks management.
Additional areas of shared responsibility include
reference, bibliographic instruction, and collection
development. MassArt librarians participate in the
collection development team and library committees.
This is a benefited faculty position.
Required qualifications for this position: MLS or
equivalent, a minimum of 1 – 2 years of professional
experience in key areas of responsibility .
Experience with public services policies and
practices. Background in the visual arts (BFA, BA in
Art Education or Art History, and/or advanced
arts-related degree) preferred. Resume review will
begin May 6, 2005. Starting date in mid-July. Open
