The Cataloging Section meeting will take place on Sunday,
April 3, 3:30-5:00.
I've included the preliminary agenda below to allow you to
start thinking about this year's discussion topics: AACR3 and
SACO. Kay Teel, the incoming chair of the ARLIS/NA
Cataloging Advisory Committee, will give us an update on the
CAC's activities and will lead off our discussion of AACR3.
Sherman Clark will provide an introduction to our discussion
of SACO. (Thanks, Kay and Sherman.)
Perhaps some of you would like to share more than just a few
comments during our discussions; please let me know if you
would like to be included on the agenda as being prepared to
provide a brief (ca. 5 min.) informal presentation relevant
to one or both of these topics.
As for matters of business, we will need to name a new co-
moderator/moderator-elect to serve with our incoming
moderator, Zimra Panitz. Please contact me if you are
interested in being considered for the position of co-
moderator.
I look forward to hearing from you regarding your interest in
this year's discussion topics and/or the co-moderator
position. See you soon! --K.C.
