Hi all,
I will not be in Houston this year to put out this call to any interested
individuals who might want to contribute to a website I have been
developing and editing since 1999 called the Green Arts web,
www.greenarts.org. Artist and educator Ann Rosenthal and I first began
this venture focusing on providing interdisciplinary print and web
resources for artists and others interested in creative solutions for a
sustainable environment concentrating mostly on visual art and
culture/nature discourses. Some of you may have attended our ARLIS session
called Eco Art : Breaking the 21st Century held a couple of years ago to
introduce the profession to artists working in the field as well as eco art
resources.
Currently, sources of information come from my research and teaching in the
area of art and ecology, and interaction and collaboration with groups of
local and international artists, academics, scientists, writers, curators
and others.
I would love to have some librarians enter the mix in the second phase of
the project which includes enhancing the site with annotations, abstracts,
reviews and/or other contributions and increasing interdisicplinary
resources.
If you are interested in contributing to the Green Arts Web and its
sustainable focus please let me know and I can fill you in on more details.
Best,
Mo
Have a great time in Houston!
