Hellow Collective ARLIS Wisdom.
I am doing original cataloging for an item with an author entry for the
performance artist Kim Jones.
I am looking at the LC authority file and found this (below), which to me
looks very fishy. But you never know.
The artist was born in fact in San Bernardino California in 1944, and was a
Vietnam vet, but is this really the same guy who
authored Midterm Oil and Gas Supply.?
There is OCLC copy for Rat Piece which uses the entry, Jones, Kim, 1944-
This seems to make more sense, but there is no authority record with this date.
Is this a mistake in the LC authority file. It hardly seems possible that
the performance artist who created Rat Piece in 1976 was the same person
who authored Midterm Oil and Gas Supply for the GPO in 1978.
Confused in Maine.
