Dear fellow ARLIS members.
What a fantastic opportunity to visit historic libraries and
archives in Florence, Italy!
At ARLIS in New York we proposed a trip to visit historic
libraries and archives in Florence, Italy. The response from
you was encouraging - We have now confirmed the dates, the
places, and the price for this once in a lifetime
opportunity.
Visit the Biblioteca Medicea Laurenziana, the University of
Florence historic libraries and their new library of Social
Sciences, the Biblioteca Nazionale and their famous book
restoration laboratory, the library in lovely Vinci dedicated
to Leonardo da Vinci, Harvard University, Villa I Tatti, and
the British Institute. Lots of surprises too! We will be
welcomed by our hosts as colleagues; therefore we will see
the functional and the beautiful. We are very excited to be
able to present this opportunity to you
An ad has been placed in the ALA magazine for August but we
want to give ARLIS members the first opportunity. There are
limited spots so contact us to reserve your place.
