Subject: GLBT Roundtable Panel Discussion at ALA - Join Us
Dear Academic Librarians and Information Professionals:
During the upcoming ALA Conference in Orlando, EBSCO Publishing and the ALA
GLBT Roundtable are hosting a panel discussion, entitled ?GLBT Trends.? The
forum will focus on two critical issues facing the GLBT community at the
start of the 21st Century:
1.) Preservation and distribution of traditional and non-traditional
content in GLBT Studies
2.) Generational transfer: The transfer of GLBT knowledge in the 21st
Century.
As you may know, EBSCO Publishing offers GLBT Life, the definitive GLBT
resource, with content from over 150 titles focused on, or related to, GLBT
studies. The GLBT Roundtable has been a key advisor in this process, and
continues to provide advice and comment on the ongoing evolution of the
database.
We invite you to come to the Forum to participate in a discussion on the
key trends facing today?s GLBT community, and the resources that chronicle
them.
TIME: Saturday, June 26, 4 PM
LOCATION: Coral Room, Sheraton World Resort, Orlando
RECEPTION to follow the panel discussion.
If you plan to join us, please send an e-mail to [log in to unmask]
letting us know. We want to be sure to have enough seating and refreshments
to go around.
Kind regards,
Scott Bernier
