Public Services Librarian
The Library of the Minneapolis College of Art & Design seeks a creative and
service oriented Public Services Librarian.
Position Summary
Reports to the Library Director.
Primary responsibilities include:
Providing reference service to students and faculty, as well as other
library patrons, using both print and electronic resources.
Developing and implementing a library instructional program for students,
Supervising the circulation of library materials and the work of the
Circulation Coordinator.
Supervising the inter-library loan program and reserve collection.
In collaboration with the Director, developing and maintaining the Library
website.
Qualifications:
An MLS from an ALA accredited program. Undergraduate degree in art history,
or studio art strongly preferred.
Minimum 1-2 years professional work experience, including reference work,
preferably in an academic library. Supervisory experience preferred.
