Greetings [please excuse cross-posting]:
I am interested in surveying those of you who serve as curators/directors
of departmental collections to find out where you fall in your
department's organization chart. My intention is to use your responses
to gage the appropriateness of who I report to within my department. Any
thoughts about how you feel vis-a-vis the reporting lines within your
department or suggestions for a best-case-scenario if you had the option
to change things would be greatly appreciated.
This information is strictly for my own use in order to assess whether I
need to lobby to change who I report to within my department's current
reporting structure based upon what seems to be the standard among peer
institutions.
