A patron has thoroughly stumped me this time! I have had a request for information on Tudor Potteries, Inc., possibly known as Tudor Art Tile Company. This company was based in California (Los Angeles, I believe) in the early part of the 20th Century. The patron found a 2-page spread on them in N. Karlson's American Art Tile: 1876-1941. Specifically, she is interested in any work they might have done that was not regular tile (i.e. figural), but I can't find any additional information on the company. Any suggestions or clues as to where I could look are appreciated. I have scoured my art pottery reference section as well as the major periodical databases.
Thanks!
