I finally have finished the guide to the Web version of another DYABOLA
image database: <<Attische Grabreliefs des spaten 5. und und des 4. Jhs. v.
Chr.>> and as I promised in my last posting I'm passing it on to you as my
retirement "parting gift."
The guide exists in 2 files: a Word file for the instructions/guide and a
PDF file for the complete subject tree used in the database. Since our
listserve doesn't permit attachments I'm just appending to this message the
Word file, but I suspect all the formating will be missing. Any of you who
would like the actual Word file and the PDF, please just send me an e-mail.
I'll be out of the country from August 1 till mid October so please contact
me ASAP or there will be a considerable delay.
As with the other image database from the Dyabola folks, <<Census of Ancient
Art and Architecture Known in the Renaissance,>> it is a VERY full and VERY
VERY complex database. As we did with the instructions I've already sent
out to you for the Census, Marnie Leist (The Art History grad student who
did most of the work on this!) and I decided the best "instructions" would
actually be in a guide format. Unfortunately this database only has a German
interface.
Best wishes to all of you.
