The Honolulu Academy of Arts has entered into a joint agreement with the
Doris Duke Foundation which has turned her house at Black Point (near
Honolulu on Oahu) into a museum to showcase her stunning collection of
Islamic Art. Both museums will host research activities which will
involve the use of the Academy library by staff and visiting
scholars. My question:
Can anyone direct me to where I can obtain a bibliography or list of
books on Islamic Art that can be used to build a core collection in this
subject area? Our library has a fairly decent, ordinary collection, but
I need to expand and strengthen this area.
Any thoughts and help on this matter will be gratefully appreciated.
