I am very pleased to announce the 2003 Kress Foundation Fellow in Art
Librarianship at Yale University. Jennifer Brannock will take up her
8-month residency on June 2. Jennifer comes to Yale from the University of
Kentucky at Lexington where most recently she has worked as Library Manager
and Junior Reference and Interlibrary Loan Librarian in the Lexmark
International Branch of the University of Kentucky Libraries. While in
library school also at the University of Kentucky, Jennifer worked as a
graduate assistant in the Preservation Department and Conservation Lab of
the University Libraries, and brings with her special training in book and
paper preservation. Jennifer attended college at the University of
Kentucky where she majored in art history, an academic background that was
very helpful to her in her preservation work. The arts of the book
represent Jennifer's particular interest and the primary focus of her Kress
Fellowship project work. Jennifer has already expressed knowledge of, and
a strong interest in, the book arts and related collections at Yale, and we
are very much looking forward to having her work with the staff of the Arts
of the Book Collection (a department of the Arts Library) on several
important and timely projects.
