The Management Issues Round Table is scheduled to meet from 4:00-5:00 pm
on Saturday, March 22 in Preston. Management Issues is intended to foster
thinking and learning about such topics as: planning and management tools
(e.g., Balanced Scorecard, TEACH, Six Sigma), the Patriot Act, UCITA,
budget crises, personnel searches that don't yield qualified candidates,
staffing (hiring, evaluation, supervision), project management,
development skills and donor relations, working with higher
administration, moving out of the art realm/transition issues, management
teams, management as one aspect of many duties, branch library management,
acting (Head, Librarian, etc.) responsibilities, budget issues, etc. The
Round Table needs to discuss its place in ARLIS and how we can contribute
to the membership.

Since we are scheduled at the same time as several other important and
large groups, let us know if you would also like to meet at another time
