Dear colleagues:
Jeanne Brown of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Janine Henri of the
University of Texas, and I are compiling The Library and the Accreditation
Process in Design Disciplines: Best Practices (Occasional Paper #14) and
would be grateful for any self-studies of libraries submitted to agencies,
such as FIDER (Foundation for Interior Design Education & Research), NASAD
(National Association of School of Art & Design), NAAB (National
Architectural Accrediting Board), LAAB (Landscape Architectural
Accreditation Board), and PAB (Planning Accreditation Board). Self-studies
from Canadian institutions would be most welcome, too.
We plan to include excerpts from the self-studies submitted to us as
prototypes from which those of us less familiar with the self-study and
accreditation processes may learn. We are also interested in supporting
documentation, such as statistics, planning documents, and annual reports.
We would not need sections other than those related to libraries or
information resources. Excerpts will be used with permission only.
Please e-mail them as attachments or send them via the postal service to me
at the address below. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Thanks very much for your assistance.
