I'm hoping someone who is more familiar with crafts and applied arts can
assist with this. I need to identify two women who presumably were
"famous" embroiders in England in the early 1870s. Their names, as best I
can identify from the primary source I'm looking at, are Mrs. Foster and
Kate Leslie. I have done research in the standard online sources and
various standard print sources, but we have very limited resources here
related to arts and crafts (both the historical movement AND as the
discipline). I would appreciate any possible leads. Thanks.
