The National Gallery of Canada Library is pleased to announce that the Art
Metropole Collection database is now available on the internet:
http://bibcat.gallery.ca:81/search/.
The Art Metropole Collection preserves the artistic production and
documentary evidence of the conceptual art movement in Canada and
internationally, chiefly from the 1960s onwards.
The database, which includes 12,600 records for the material in the
collection, and over 8,000 artists' names, has been set up in the same
software as the main catalogue of the Library and Archives. Searching is
chiefly by artist and title, and the results of these searches can be
limited by other parameters such as year of publication, document type, etc.
Keyword searches, covering names of authors, designers and materials, are
also possible.
