Thanks to Pat Lynagh's efforts, Amtrak is offering a 10% discount to conference attendees. As you might expect, though, there are some restrictions. Following are the details.
"Amtrack 10% discount off the lowest rail fare that is available when making your reservation to Baltimore, MD from March 17-March 29, 2003. To book space, call Amtrak at 1-800-USA-RAIL (1-800-872-7245) or contact your local travel agent. Make sure you refer to the Fare Code Number X54Y-956 when making your reservation. This offer is not valid on Auto Train, Acela Express 1st Class, Metroliner Club Car service, or Sleeping Accommodation charges. Fare is valid on Acela Regional service. Fare is valid on Acela Express Business Class and Metroliner Coach service during off-peak travel and all departures on weekends (Other Restrictions May Apply) .
(Off-Peak are those trains departing boarding station Monday-Friday from 10 am to 2 pm, inclusive, and departing 6 pm or later).
