Our library is having an art book sale in the middle of June this year in
order to raise money for the library's acquisitions budget. I have never
done this before and am wondering if there is anything ARLIS has published
with guidelines/helpful hints for pricing, promotion, soliciting
donations, etc. Pricing out of print art books can be tricky-also people
have suggested that very old art serials (20-30 years old) are now
collector's items and have been seen at flea markets for $10-20 each. If
anyone has run successful book sales I would be receptive to any advice,
do's or don'ts, etc. that your experience can offer. Any advice is welcome!
Thanks in advance for your collective wisdom. Feel free to respond
off-list.
