Sara,
It's my understanding that you would have to recieve permission from the
owner of the specific piece you intend to reproduce. If it's ours, you
would have to talk to our Rights and Reproductions department
([log in to unmask]). If you plan to reproduce another copy of the print owned
by another institution, you would have to get their permission. If the
artist's grandson has a personal copy of the print, then you would have to
get a photo of that one to reproduce.
To all you copyright specialists - is my understanding of this correct?
