Would the following general periodical indexes help?: Poole's Index to
periodical literature (1802-81) and Nineteenth century readers' guide to
periodical literature, 1890-1899. There also seem to be some computerized
indexes available now also: Index to American periodicals of the 1800's :
keyed to University Microfilms APS II; Index to American periodicals of the
1700's and 1800's, American periodicals, 1741-1900 : an index to the
microfilm collections, American periodicals 18th century, American
periodicals, 1800-1850, American periodicals, 1850-1900, Civil War and
Reconstruction, English literary periodicals, 1681-1914.
