We would like to notify all ARLIS librarians and curators about the
re-launch of the Artprice.com website and your ability to get free access
for a month to test it.
In addition to the site changes, we have finally added an annual
subscription option.
The free access is good for 30 days or the use of 100 units, whichever comes
first.
A "unit" is one detailed auction result.
In order to receive your free access, we require only that you answer a few
brief questions about how you use the internet for art research. You may
simply call us at 1.800.278.4274 and it will take only a few minutes. Or,
our Registrar, Veronika Roessler, will be pleased to email the questionnaire
to you. Just contact her at [log in to unmask]
As an ARLIS member of decades, I am acutely aware of the budget constraints
that many of our members have to endure. After Sound View Press merged with
Artprice, I argued strongly for a subscription option that is very modestly
priced. Plus, you will get full access to the growing number of databanks
such as my Who Was Who in American Art. Coming soon is our databank of
signatures & monograms. This will be followed by the Exhibition Records
Series, and many other information forums.
As the company continues to evolve into an art information center, we
welcome your suggestions and requests.
Sincerely,
Peter
