Greetings Colleagues,
The following position will be posted shortly through the usual
venues (ARLIS-JobNet, ALA, Chronicle of Higher Education, etc.).
Although the job will be officially posted as "Reference Librarian,"
here in the Ryerson & Burnham and in the job description the title is
"Senior Reference Librarian." The position has supervisory
responsibilities and requires a level of knowledge and experience
that would be unlikely in an entry-level candidate. This is an
excellent opportunity for an early career librarian who wishes to
work with a truly exceptional research collection in a major museum
library. The Reader Services unit is composed of the following staff:
Head, Senior Reference Librarian, Reference Librarian, Senior
Reference Assistant, Circulation Supervisor, and 6 FTE Circulation
staff. Following is the complete posting.
Regards to all,
Peter Blank
