No, actually its a genuine, and polite, request for
information. I was polite in my request. If my
request was inappropriate or outside the scope of this
list, you could have either told me so or ignored it.
Instead I get two replies which, frankly, are quite
disturbing, given that the fact this list appears to
be academic and professional in orientation. Also, if
you don't know the answer, just say so. I understand
there is a chasm between the management of information
resources and knowing the information itself. There
is no need to read anything further into my request.
Period.
Your remarks, Ted, implying I'm a conman after a visa
(presumably a US one) are completely befuddling and
frankly I find them quite offensive. I can't help but
think if I had a Caucasian sounding name you would not
be so rude.
