Our library uses 9" high bookends with 3/4"side braces with
a non-skid cork surface on the bottom. Brodart, etc. should have
them in their catalogues. These work very well.
The 1/2" or 3/4" bracing or extended side is important.
well. Without that extra support, 9" high bookends will bend from the
weight of large books.
