Thanks so much to all of you who took the time to
complete our computer lab survey. Leslie Everett, our
computer lab manager, has summarized the responses:
Nine institutions replied to the survey. The majority
had computer facilities in their Libraries but a few
did not. Many who reported having library labs said
they are supported by library staff or by separate
computer services departments. All of the libraries
that replied either circulate or make CD ROMs
available to patrons, at least one supported wireless
technology. Funding ranged from campus funds to class
fees. Most Libraries that allowed printing didn't
charge. No one seemed to have Web based faculty
resources. User input seemed to be fairly consistent
for most. The question about Assitive Technology
perhaps should have been more descriptive, as related
to Special Needs, and/or users with disabilities.
Thanks again,
