Qualified applicants are encouraged to apply for the open position of
Head of Instructional Technology and Library Information Systems in the
Frances Loeb Library at the Harvard Design School.
The Instructional Technology Group (ITG
-http://www.gsd.harvard.edu/itg/) develops new uses of computer
technology in support of educational
initiatives for faculty at the Harvard Design School and develops
content resources on behalf of the Frances Loeb Library. The ITG brings
together expertise and experience in library and information science,
educational technology, new media and design education. The Group's
efforts are targeted both at developing a better understanding of the
unique potential that digital resources and information technologies
hold for learning and teaching and developing appropriate services and
applications which maximize this potential for design education. Key
relationships include work with the Library's Visual Resources
Department, Design School faculty, and the University's Library Digital
Initiative, iCommons centralized instructional technology project, and
VIA (Visual Information Access) Catalog Steering Committee.
