When I was in grad school, I made it a point to listen to people who
expressed an interest in art librarianship. I sought them out, as well as
others, and formed a study group. They became friends for life and
colleagues today. It doesn't take a formal structure to find and share
common interests and support on the library school scale. Perhaps a general
student group could be encouraged to post some lists of students who are
interested in forming SIGs (special interest groups) in the library school
that meet informally and can have the benefit of mutual support for tests
and lecture notes etc. PH
