Hello, the Slide Librarians here in the Department of Art & Design at the
U. of A. are in the process of assisting in the redesign of our two seminar
rooms. Since we will still be using 2 slide projectors in each room to some
degree, what we require are some possible ideas about reducing their sound
levels. At the moment the projectors just sit on a raised level on tables
at the back of the rooms quite close to the instructors and students. The
sound levels are tolerable but not ideal. Unfortunately the new rooms will
not have space available for sound booths. We have thought of some sort of
raised shelf with possibly a small enclosure built around it. Obviously it
must allow for heat to escape but preferably not sound. Does anyone out
there have any experience or a workable solution that is simple and
inexpensive? All suggestions will be greatfully appreciated.
