Marianne,
A similar situation occurred when the Duke & Duchess of Windsor Sale
(Sotheby's New York) was postponed because of the death of Princess Diana.
The sale was originally scheduled for September 11-19, 1997 but held on
February 19-27, 1998 instead. Since the 033 is repeatable we recorded both
dates and added a 500 note to explain. See RLIN ID OHCA98-P611. Hope this
helps.
Kay.

Subject: Auction catalog sale date discrepancies
Hello everyone,
We are just starting to catalog auction catalogs into SCIPIO whos sale dates
were changed due to the WTC attack.
We know the date the sale was actually held, but the record in SCIPIO have
the original sale date coded into the 033, most without even a note of the
actual sale date.
Does anyone have any advice on how to handle this?
Thanks,
Marianne L. Cavanaugh
