I'm only a few months at my library and am planning for how it will be used
in the future. We're a new research library within a museum and will soon
will have in place a research collection of 15-20 thousand monographs and
many dozen (mostly historical) serials, all for the most part devoted to
photography. I'm curious if those of you in libraries within larger
institutions might have usage statistics on how many people actually venture
into the inner sactum to use the library. I realize the access policies and
ease of physical access will affect the actual numbers of patrons, but I'd
like to get a ballpark idea of how many patrons I will need to plan to
accomodate once we open the doors.
Thanks in advance for your help.
