COORDINATOR FOR CIRCULATION AND ACCESS
The Thomas J. Watson Library at The Metropolitan Museum of Art seeks a
Coordinator for Circulation and Access to supervise and manage access to the
Library's collections for staff and qualified researchers; responsible for
stack maintenance, customer-oriented circulation service, administration of
automated circulation system, user registration/reception,
training/supervision of 4 union staff as well as interns/work study students
and volunteers.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, supervisory experience, library
experience using an online circulation system strong commitment to service,
word-processing and spreadsheet skills (Microsoft Office applications
desirable), ability to work flexibly and creatively in a changing
environment.
The Thomas J. Watson Library is the Museum's research library. With
holdings of 450,000 volumes, 2,500 periodical subscriptions and extensive
electronic resources, the Watson Library is one of the most comprehensive
collections in the world for the history of art. There is a total staff of
45.
