Hello all!
I'd really appreciate it if you could spare a minute to provide me with some
information? I'm gathering information on adding a reference librarian
and/or outsourcing our technical services as a budget justification.
How many hours are you open to your patrons?
How many hours per week does your institution offer reference services to
your patrons?
Do you have a librarian whose duties are:
* exclusively reference?
* reference and other duties? Please specify what other duties and
the approximate percentage of time for each.
Do you outsource book processing (i.e., cataloging, processing so they're
shelf-ready)?
If so, how many vendors do you use?
If possible: What is the cost per item for this process?
I know this is a lot to ask of you at this time of year, but I'd really
appreciate your assistance. If requested I will supply a summary my
findings to the list.
Thanks in advance for all your help.
Moira
