The Catholic University School of Library and Information Science invites
you to the 12th Annual Elizabeth Stone Lecture. This year's speaker is
American Library Association President Nancy Kranich.
Ms. Kranich's presentation is entitled "Why Do We Still Need Libraries."
Ms. Kranich is currently on leave from her position as Associate Dean of
Libraries at New York University during her 2000 - 2001 term as President of
ALA. She has served on the Executive Board of ALA and as chair of the ALA
Committees on Legislation and Subcommittees on Government Information and
Copyright Telecommunications.
The lecture will take place in the Life Cycle Institute Building auditorium
at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25th. Refreshments will follow the lecture.
