I agree with Erin.. If you can, disable that feature.
Also, we stopped making legal sized paper available at the copier -
only 8 1/2 x 11 (at 10 cents/copy) and then 11 x 17 (at 20 cents/copy).
The only way to get 2 pages per exposure on many books (especially the
bigger ones - which are more prone to spine damage) is then either to
reduce the print size very very small or pay double the price and get
hard to handle sheets. They soon learn it's just better to copy 1 page
at a time.
Also, our conservation and binding dept. distributed some eye catching
signs pointing out the correct way to copy which we have affixed right
to our machine!
We have a Xerox Bookmark 35 with that book edge copy screen. It gives
good support for the open books.
