Library Description:
The library serves the B.F.A. and Continuing Education programs of the Corcoran College of Art and Design as well as the Corcoran Museum. The library contains 23,500 volumes, 18,000 slides, and 130 periodicals and has a staff of 3 full-time employees and 7 part-time work-study students.
Job Responsibilities:
Manages the circulation desk including maintaining the reserves collection. Supervises, trains, and hires work-study students. Maintains the periodical collection and the stacks. Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications:
Experience working in libraries; commitment to customer service; experience working in an academic setting; an interest or background in art; excellent verbal and written skills; computer proficiency; and detail oriented. Applicants must have an undergraduate degree.
