Photographs/The New York Public Library
42nd Street and Fifth Avenue Room 300
hours: alternating Monday - Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. or Tuesday -
Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. as required, schedule subject to change.
Salary: $24,898
Eligibility Requirements: Applicant MUST have a B.A. in art history,
studio, decorative arts, or architecture. Ability to work well
independently, in team situations, and in changing work environments.
Demonstrated flexibility and reliability. Familiarity with library
work and/or art research preferred. Successfully demonstrated
experience with general public service work and computer applications
preferred.
General Description: Under the general supervision of the Curator of
the Art & Architecture Collection, provides public information service
in the Art & Architecture reading room in response to personal and
telephone inquiries. Assists the librarians in reference-related
tasks. Processes art materials and handles special projects that
involve maintenance of the collection. Performs related duties as
required.
