DC/MD/VA ARLIS Chapter meeting

lease join the DC/MD/VA Chapter for a tour of the Conservation Division and
Preservation Reformatting project as well as an introduction to the National
Digital Library.
The Conservation Division staff will provide us with a look at the
division's work on preserving books and other materials and its project to
assess materials for possible digitization.
We'll also get an overview of the material available on the web through the
National Digital Library's American Memory Historical Collections.

We'll meet in the main lobby of the Madison Building's entrance on
Independence Avenue.

Metro: Capitol South station on the Blue and Orange Lines.
Street parking can be difficult due to resident zones and rush hour
restrictions on the business streets. Visitors enter the Madison Building on
the Independence Avenue side. Be prepared for delay at the security station
where visitors must pass through x-ray inspection.
