Dear colleagues,
I'm pleased to introduce (virtually) two new professional staff at the Yale
Arts Library. Daniel Nolting is our new Visual Media Cataloger. Dan comes to
us immediately from the University of Pittsburgh, where he has served as VR
Curator since 1997, helping usher in the use of digital classrooms, and was
previously a Reference Librarian at Duquesne University. He has also
served as
a Sr. Assistant Cataloger at MOMA and a Library Assistant/ Project Specialist
at the National Gallery of Art. He has an MLS as well as a BFA and MFA from
the Pratt Institute. Effective Jan. 1, 2001, Dan will also be the new Visual
Resources Association (VRA) Web Committee Chair and Web Master
I am also pleased to welcome Jennifer "Jae" Williams, newly appointed Special
Collections Librarian. Jennifer is a recent graduate of the MLS program at
Simmons College. She is an artist in several media, with a BA in studio art
and a Post-BA certificate in studio art from Brandeis. Her primary
responsibility will be for the Arts of the Book Collection in Sterling
Memorial
Library, which is administered as part of the Arts Library.
Please help us welcome these new colleagues to ARLIS/NA. We're sure you'll
meet them at professional meetings regionally and nationally.
Max Marmor
