Colleagues,
Can you help me?
A curator is looking for information sources on bronze sculptors who work in
a representational and portrait-oriented style to recommend for a modest
commission.
We've already explored Art Abstracts, ABM, Sculpture Review, Save Outdoor
Sculpture!, Inventory of American Sculpture, BUT any specific or particular
search strategies within these that you think fruitful would be appreciated.
The curator is more interested in databases and bibliographical sources than
actual sculptor recommendations, BUT if ARLIS members would like to
recommend anyone, he would encourage you to do so. Any candidate should
have a proven record of prominent commissions paid for with public funds.
Please send your suggestions and recommendations to me, and I will pass them
along.
Many thanks, in advance.
